I spent a week at WildTracks in northern Belize, an organization that rehabilitates wildlife, mostly howler monkeys and manatees. This is one of my favorite shots of two young howlers playing. One fell off the bed they were playing on and the other lent a helping hand to get him back up.

And this why we need FCD (Friends for Conservation and Development, the NGO that manages the park and patrols the border) in the Chiquibul. The top photo is looking west into Guatemala; the bottom photo is immediately looking east into Belize, with some clearing by illegal Guatemalans being shown. FCD works with the BDF (Belize Defense Force) to protect our borders. They need all the support we can give them, including the Forestry Department and logging operations in the area.
