Musical Miniatures

Sometimes the best activities are the ones you already have at home. This week’s favourite? Taking the easel outside for a spot of painting in the sunshine.
A bit of fresh air, a splash of colour, and suddenly everyone’s calmer, happier, and completely absorbed. No rules, no pressure — just big strokes, messy hands, and creativity flowing in every direction. And the best part? The clean‑up is so much easier outdoors.
If you’re looking for a simple summer win, pop the easel in the garden, courtyard or balcony and let them paint the world however they see it. 💛

I’m not the most exciting social media user — and to be honest, I’m trying to use it less these days — but when I do post, I love using the Musical Miniatures platform for more than just class updates. From family finds to local shout‑outs, I try to share little bits of parenting and community support whenever I can.
This week’s shared activity? Cardboard and double‑sided sticky tape. The girls were entertained for ages as we wandered around the flats hunting for the best flowers and colours to stick on. I’ve used this with playdates now that they’re older, and it always ends up as a sweet keepsake at the end.
I also have a Pinterest board full of ideas — because let’s be honest, it really does take a village.

🍎 A quick, friendly snack reminder for class
We absolutely love that little ones come to sessions with snacks — no on wants hangry kids! But just a gentle heads‑up to help keep everyone safe and included:
✨ Please avoid bringing nuts (including nut‑based bars, spreads, and snacks).
✨ Be mindful of dairy, as we often have little ones with intolerances or allergies in the room.
✨ Keep snacks simple and contained so we don’t end up with a crunchy carpet or curious toddlers helping themselves to someone else’s food.
We know it’s never intentional — parenting is a juggle and snacks are survival. This is just to make sure every child can enjoy class safely and comfortably. Thanks so much for looking out for each other.
