Brian has a rare salivary gland cancer that previously had no treatment options. His oncologist Marshall Posner recommended Vivan Therapeutics’s Personal Discovery Process. Following they identified the mutations driving his tumour, engineered them into fruit fly avatars. Following high throughput drug screening they identified as the therapy of choice. Over the Christmas holiday Brian’s wonderful parents purchased the drug out of pocket while awaiting approval from Novartis for access via compassionate use. This approval has now been received (thanks to Novartis!). MPT Foundation is helping Brian’s family recoup the cost of the initial supply. Please support us! This year's Football Shirt Friday is set for November 19, raising money for the Bobby Moore fund

Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund as a restricted fund of Cancer Research UK to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research.
The generosity of supporters has enabled to raise over £28 million and mortality rates for bowel cancer have fallen by more than 30%.
But sadly the disease still kills 45 people in the UK every day, showing we still have a long way to go to achieve our goal of tackling bowel cancer.
