Gateways Through Time

Today I'm thinking about the cycles of life . . . and how in Western cultures we usually only revere certain parts of the cycle, and deny other parts . . . instead of embracing all of it.

We love birth, but don't love death. We love beginnings, but don't like endings. We love joy, but deny sadness. But all of it, and I mean ALL of it, is part of the cycle of life. It is ALL valuable.

For a beautiful butterfly to emerge, it must go through some very uncomfortable stages to get there...it's all part of the great wheel of existence. Wholeness occurs when you can embrace every part of life.
