Do you work in UK TV, either on-screen or off-screen? We’d love your input.

At Creative Diversity Network, we’re refreshing Diamond and looking to hear from people working across UK broadcast TV to help shape the next version of the survey experience.

Diamond collects anonymous diversity information to help improve representation across the TV industry. The insight it provides supports better decision-making around funding, training and wider industry support.

As part of the refresh, we want to make sure the experience of being invited to complete Diamond feels clear, respectful and trustworthy for cast and crew.

We’re running informal online feedback sessions with a small group from Creative Diversity Network and The Everyone Project, our technical partners.

The sessions will explore:
- how invitations feel
- how survey questions land
- whether the experience builds confidence and trust
- how we can make the survey clearer, more inclusive and easier to complete

Sessions will take place online via Teams or Zoom on:
Tuesday 26 May, 14:00–15:30
Thursday 28 May, 11:30–13:00

Sessions will be captioned using Otter.ai and will include a short break. Please let us know about any access requirements when signing up.

We’re keen to hear from a wide mix of voices across the industry.

If you work in locations, production, or planning for TV and film, this session is well worth your time.

We’re running a 5As for Freelancers course focused on Accessibility for Recces and Locations, taking place on Saturday 13 June at 11:00, designed to help build practical, inclusive approaches into your day-to-day work.

Hosted by the Production Guild and funded by the TV Access Project (TAP), this session focuses on what actually works on set and on location.

Using the 5As framework (Anticipate, Ask, Assess, Adjust, Advocate), you’ll gain tools to better support disabled talent and crew across your productions.

Creative Diversity Network are looking for cast & crew to help shape the future of Diamond.

The Diamond survey gives a picture of the people working in the UK screen industries. It asks questions about you and your work to build a detailed snapshot of our sector.

Information from Diamond helps industry bodies and creative organisations to plan and fund services up and down the UK, such as lobbying, training, support, and development initiatives. We want to hear from everyone, and your help makes a difference.

We are currently developing a new and improved survey, and they would like to hear from you. If you work as cast or crew in TV, film or radio and would like to share your thoughts in a relaxed 20-minute discussion, find out more via their information sheet, or follow this link [ Book time with Neve Carey ] or email [email protected] to book a session.

Your input in this session will help to ensure:
• Diamond questions are inclusive and reflect your identity
• The survey is easy to understand and complete
• The data we capture reflects the needs of people and communities across the screen sector

Thank you so much for your interest in taking part.
