I loved attending the awards tonight. A massive congratulations to everyone involved including the performers, nominees, organisers and presenters! And a huge well done to for putting it all together! A true celebration of theatre and I’m incredibly grateful to have been there! More interview clips to come but for now enjoy the exciting energy and love that everyone had to share tonight!

After an incredible time working with Dover Pride for 7 years, I have made the decision to step down from my role running marketing communications, including press and social media. From helping shape Dover’s Digital Pride in 2020 through to in-person events, it’s been a privilege to help tell Dover Pride’s story and raise the visibility of such an important community event.

During my time in the role, we achieved some fantastic milestones, including growing our social media presence to new heights and reaching new audiences, with our platforms now at a total following of over 5k across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X, and well over 2 million reached. Highlights have included interviewing the incredible Divina DeCampo and securing media coverage across major outlets such as BBC South East Today, BBC Radio Kent, KMTV, Diva Magazine, KentOnline and KM, KMFM Radio, the Dover Express and many more.

But most of all, I’m proud to have gained a second family and strong network of friends who have helped to make Dover a more safe and inclusive place to live. The hard work, dedication and love shown by my fellow team members, volunteers and everyone who has come out to march and support our events has proven just how important, vital and needed Dover Pride is for our community.

Without them, it would be a very different place to live and for that I’m super grateful. I’m not going anywhere in terms of showing my support, but I’m stepping down as I move on to new and exciting adventures with work and my career. Dover Pride will always be close to my heart and I’ll absolutely still be there to support events and the new team as a proud local.
