Meet Dotun , one of our new Python tutors!

We’re so excited to welcome Dotun to the MAMA.codes tutor team!

Dotun is a qualified software developer and experienced coding tutor, with a passion for helping children explore how technology works behind the tech they love.

He’ll be teaching Python, inspiring young coders to think like creators, not just players.

Dotun believes that learning to code today is ​“less about creating a generation of programmers and more about equipping them with a fundamental superpower for the 21st century.”

Join us at Carnegie Library from 27–30 October for four days of fun:

✨ Minecraft Escape Rooms (ages 8–13) – tackle eerie puzzles with code
✨ Scratch (ages 8–11) – design your own ghostly games + animations
✨ ScratchJr (ages 5–7) – magical first projects for mini coders

💻 Plus – we’re running an online Scratch camp (ages 8–11) with our lovely tutor Christina on 27–29 October.

🌟 Meet Joice – a much-loved MAMA.codes tutor since 2017!

Joice teaches and , combining creativity, technical know-how and storytelling to help children turn their ideas into animations, characters and interactive projects. She also teaches languages, including Mandarin, showing children that coding is just another way of communicating with the world around them.

When she’s not teaching, you’ll find Joice on long walks with her family dog or whisking herself into another dimension through yoga practice. For her, learning to code is learning to communicate with computers – a skill that’s becoming part of everyday life, and one that will shape the future.
