WE ARE LOOKING FOR STATE SCHOOL STUDENTS 15-18 YEARS OLD.
This year we will be running an architectural and design based Summer School in collaboration with HEATHERWICK STUDIO on the 29th of July - 10th of August in Kings Cross.
The summer school is free for up to 20 students.
We are looking for students interested in art design and architecture, especially those who are considering further education. The programme will be really useful for students applying to universities with the outcomes creating strong portfolios.

Join us tomorrow for a Jewellery workshop in STORE STORE with Mala Siamptani. If the weather is good we will be outside.
In the workshop, you'll be shown how to make a stunning piece of jewellery using jesmonite. One of the main goals of this introductory class, is to gain understanding of fundamental techniques to design and make your own jewellery. Mala will be showing you the different steps that creating jesmonite jewellery entails, from mixing and casting to sanding, finishing and polishing your piece. You will also be shown how to make a cast with a terrazzo and marble effect.
Mala Siamptani is a London based design practitioner with an extensive experience in the research, development and delivery of successful creative projects in Jewellery, Fashion, Design and Art sector. Following an extensive material research, Mala’s work attempts to connect traditional craft with digital technology. With her work Mala demonstrates both the use and need for material research and it’s acknowledgment of experiential knowledge to advance craft thinking and practice. Through her work in education she sees it as her role to pass this message on to the new generation of designer/craftsmen.
The workshop is open to a maximum of 10 participants (age 18+) of any level of craft or design skills, on a first come, first served basis. Attendance at the workshop costs £35 (£25 students) with all proceeds supporting the SCHOOL SCHOOL after school club for local state school students.
