The SOCOD CLEAN UP CAMPAIGN/SOCOD HOLIDAY TECH BOOTCAMP
"Changing mindsets, fostering a generation of responsible and community-oriented youth"

In line with the ongoing Holiday Tech Bootcamp co-organised by SODEI and CODAM Technologies in partnership with UNDP, participants took part in a clean-up campaign at the Limbe City Council.

This event transcends a mere clean-up – it's a symbolic gesture that echoes our commitment to transform our community and mindset of our youth.
Every act reverberates far beyond the surface, as we collectively sow the seeds for a cleaner, greener, and prouder Limbe.

To build a stronger, resilient and prosperous nation, we must all take part in this shared narrative of change and prepare a new generation of responsive and responsible leaders.

SOCOD HOLIDAY TECH BOOTCAMP 2023
“Igniting Youth Entrepreneurial Creativity and Innovation”.

SODEI in partnership with CODAM Technologies launched a HOLIDAY TECH BOOTCAMP on Wednesday July 12 at the LIMBE City Council hall. The program scheduled to last for one month from July 12 to August 11 aims at empowering children aged 9 to 21 with a foundational Information Technology skillset, innovation and creativity that could become essential to them in future.

The launching event saw the attendance of over 115 young people, representatives of the LIMBE City Council, other partner institutions, parents and well-wishers who expressed their admiration for the initiative. The month-long training program enjoys the support of UNDP Cameroon, LIMBE City Council, the Divisional Delegation for Youth Affairs and Civic Education, the National Agency for Information and Communication (ANTIC) amongst other collaborators.

The SOCOD Special Holidays Bootcamp program provides a platform for impactful holiday activities where young people can learn, recreate, play, relax and enjoy with their peers in a useful manner and protective environment, avoiding delinquencies. The over 100 beneficiaries will be organised into three separate groups and assigned suitable activities on coding and robotics, safety online, how to generate ideas and more, leading up to an open-door day where they will present their savoir-faire.

We believe the Bootcamp is a unique opportunity to introduce young brilliant minds into the ever-growing, intricate world of information technology, to be better prepared for the challenges and opportunities it presents.
