Wednesday 15th May - Saturday 18th May

This May Totley Operatic and Dramatic Society – TOADS - will be performing 'Last Séance' written by Herb Hasler and produced by arrangement with Lazy Bee Scripts.

Here we have a dodgy family who are operating a scam séance business. It's all very low tech and you will see during the course of the evening some of the 'tricks of the trade' being played out, not always to plan. Séances draw in clients from all walks of life, those who are sceptical, those who believe, those who come for a laugh and some who just want to know where the treasure was hidden.

As in all good comedies, the best is saved until last and you will learn in the final twists and turns of the play why this one really must be the 'Last Séance'.

Why don't you come along and we can promise you a great night's entertainment?

St John's Church Hall
Abbeydale Road South
Sheffield
S17 3LE

The evening performances of the play are from Wednesday 15th May 7.30 pm to Friday 17th May 7.30 pm and the final performance will be a matinee on Saturday 18th May at 2.30 pm.

Please call Jeff on 0114 235 1206 to reserve your ticket, email [email protected] or contact any Toads member.

Tickets for the play are very reasonably priced at £7 per person with a concessionary rate of £6 for students and people aged over 65.

Priscilla the Party! is based on The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, a hit film about drag queens, community, and acceptance, which earned an Oscar in 1995. Following its big screen success, it was adapted into a musical, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which won an Olivier Award followed by two 2011 Tony Awards for the Broadway transfer. Now Priscilla the Party! is an immersive show that allows you to be part of the adventure.

Audiences are encouraged to sing along to the hit songs and choose from various seating options. Seated audiences can enjoy a full meal during the show, and standing tickets put partygoers right on the dance floor, where they can groove to songs like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “It’s Raining Men,” and more.

Priscilla the Party! in London is a drag-infused show set in the Australian outback. It impressively boasts over 500 enchanting costumes and over 200 headdresses. The story is based on the original film, where friends embark on a road trip in an old bus performing their drag act throughout Australia. They experience highs and lows through their travels, from struggles experiencing homophobia to heartwarming friendships. This story of love, friendship, and acceptance still resonates decades after its premiere.

Priscilla the Party! is staged by many of the same creative teams that brought Priscilla, Queen of the Desert to Australia, the West End, and Broadway. The original director, Simon Phillips, returns to reimagine the show into a dazzling immersive experience.
