Big shout out to everyone who joined today’s Fear to Flight handstand workshop! 🙌
It was genuinely such a pleasure to spend the afternoon playing with you all. You brought such curious, joyful energy from the very start and jumped straight into supporting and encouraging one another. Watching your confidence grow and your movement evolve in such a short space of time was incredible.
One of my favourite moments was hearing everyone chatting, sharing experiences, and celebrating each other’s wins by the end of the session. It felt so wholesome and exactly the kind of environment I hope to create.
The idea behind this workshop is exploring fear—or more specifically, our brain’s perception of what feels safe.
In my experience, confidence grows through a few key things:
✨ Gentle, repeated exposure. The more time you spend upside down, the more evidence your brain gathers that it’s capable and safe.
✨ Building movement pathways and muscle memory. Sometimes the difference between finding a balance and missing it is simply giving your body enough repetition to respond without hesitation.
✨ Learning how to fall safely. When we remove some of the uncertainty, we create space to play, explore, and progress.
And perhaps most importantly: keeping it playful. The more pressure and expectation we place on ourselves, the heavier the practice can feel.
Did the fear-to-flight concept land for you? What was your biggest takeaway? And if I ran a follow-up workshop, would you be in? 👀👇
