Today at Decarbonising Architecture in Valencia, a showcase for pioneering materials and design thinking driving the future of low-carbon construction and built environments.
we’re excited to feature .tr, a pioneer in upcycling coffee grounds into high-performance, circular materials.
By transforming spent espresso grounds, Wasteespresso creates sustainable composites that turn coffee waste into durable, beautiful surfaces, eco-friendly cups, tiles, and even concrete additives. Their material innovations not only keep valuable organic resources out of landfill but also drastically reduce the carbon footprint of building and everyday products.
The result? Designed objects and building solutions that celebrate circularity, material storytelling, and the hidden potential of daily waste streams. Small actions, like rethinking coffee waste, can lead to big impacts for climate-conscious design.

Today we will be at Decarbonising Architecture at in Valencia, a showcase for pioneering materials and design thinking driving the future of low-carbon construction and built environments.
One standout innovation at the event is .tech and their patented Pierre-Carbone (CarbonFibreStone) composite. Developed from granite or basalt stone combined with carbon fiber, this breakthrough material offers remarkable strength and resilience—outperforming steel and concrete—while maintaining a dramatically lower carbon footprint. Technocarbon’s vision is to provide a viable, scalable, and climate-positive alternative for architecture, infrastructure, and design, directly addressing the environmental challenges facing our industry today.
