Welcoming our Summer Interns, Katherine and Hattie! 🚀
We are absolutely thrilled to introduce two incredible new additions to the HealthProm team for the summer! 🌟
📸 Meet Katherine, our Photography and Communications Intern. Katherine is a third-year Ernie Pyle Scholar studying Journalism at Indiana University’s The Media School, alongside Sociology and a minor in Photography. She brings a wealth of experience in photojournalism, investigative reporting with the Arnolt Centre, and communications from the Centre for Rural Engagement. We are so excited to see how she uses her storytelling and creative talents to highlight our community engagement—and we can't wait for her to explore London!
📊 Meet Hattie, our Research and Project Intern. Hattie is currently pursuing her MSc in Global Health Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE). She has already been a fantastic asset, diving into our work supporting Ukrainian and Afghan communities across Islington, Camden, and beyond. In her own words: "I look forward to continuing to learn and help the team throughout the rest of my internship here. Originally from Wales, I love hiking, cooking & baking, and movies!"
Please join us in giving both Katherine and Hattie a massive welcome to the team in the comments below! 👇

✨ A weekend filled with art, community, and inspiration! ✨
Last weekend, our group of Ukrainian families had the wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in the vibrant Dulwich Festival.
We started our journey at the historic Dulwich Picture Gallery, soaking in classic masterpieces, before diving headfirst into the Artists’ Open Houses trail. It was incredible to explore the local neighbourhood and discover so much talent—from stunning ceramics and vibrant paintings to intricate glasswork and beautiful quilting.
The highlight of our day? Gathering together in a beautiful, blooming garden for a wonderful discussion about art. A huge thank you to our amazing art tutor, Tatyana Bereslavetz, for moderating such a fruitful and inspiring conversation! 🎨🌿
It was a beautiful reminder of how art brings us all together.

8 Months. 8 Journeys. 1 Shared Success. 🇬🇧✨

Last week, we gathered for the final meeting of our Inclusive Coaching program. It’s hard to believe it’s been eight months since these eight incredible Ukrainian women began their journey with their UK mentors.

Navigating a new career landscape in a new country is no small feat. Through 1-on-1 mentorship, our participants didn't just find professional advice—they found clarity, confidence, and a community.

To our partners and mentors: Thank you for your dedication. To our participants: We are so proud of your growth and can’t wait to see where your paths lead next! 💙💛

Yesterday at HealthProm we crafted our Own Story on an Eggshell 🥚✨
A Ukrainian Pysanka is more than just Easter decor. It is an ancient code where every symbol carries a deep meaning—from the intricate "endless lines" to the vibrant eight-pointed stars.
Our children, teenagers and their mums joined Traditional Pysanka Decoration Workshop.
This is a therapeutic process where time stands still, and the air is filled with the sweet scent of beeswax and honey.
At this workshop, we:
• Mastered the technique of writing with a pysachok (traditional stylus) and hot wax.
• Discovered the hidden meanings behind traditional ornaments and colours.
• Created a very own talisman to bring harmony and protection to our home.
No artistic experience was necessary—our wonderful craft artist, Taina Zavora, guided everyone through this captivating process!
Our first pysankas sure is something truly special.
