Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all keeping well and enjoyed the Easter break.
It is with great sadness that I am writing this post for a call to action to help support a local family after losing my third friend in 11 months.
In January, Jess Wood, a local mum sadly passed away suddenly leaving behind two young children aged 7 yrs old and 9yrs old. Jess was a close friend of mine (we had been close friends for 10 years having been pregnant together with our eldest and in the same antenatal group).
All of her family and friends are all shocked and absoutely devastated by her passing. Life will never be the same again and like so many other friends whose lives Jess touched, I am absolutely hearbroken. This happened a month after the loss of a schoolmum friend of mine π
Following Jess' death, many have asked what they can do to help her family. We would like to do what we can to support Jess' family following her sad death and have set up this Go Fund Me to help in some way.
Obviously nothing can replace a mother or partner but any contributions no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.
I know it is probably not the best time to ask this especially in this current climate. However, as a supportive and caring parent community, I thought I would reach out to seek your help.
If you can, please consider sharing and contributing whatever you can to this Go Fund Me Fund as it all makes a difference towards securing the future and education of these two young children whose lives have been changed forever in one of the worst possible ways especially so soon after Christmas.
Contributions can be made via the link below:

Please feel free to leave a message for the family if you wish.
Thank you for reading and in advance for any contributions made and for sharing.
Please keep Jess and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Love and Light,
Sharmine xx

Boom! Second vaccine done! ππΎπͺπΎ
Received my second vaccine this evening and I am so relieved!!
And whilst waiting, I realised my crazy green glasses and scarf was matching with the green hospital wall! π€£π
The only time (especially during this pandemic) that I have been grateful for having an underlying illness (which meant I have been on the extremely vulnerable list therefore putting me in the same category as the over 70s).
Celebrated with a glass (or two) of some unopened bubbly that I found in my kitchen (I wasn't that organised to order some prosecco in time so am glad I had some that was given as a present to me).
Don't mind if I do! π₯ππ
What did you do this evening?

Earth Hour aims to increase awareness and spark global conversations on protecting nature not only to combat the climate crisis, but to ensure our own health, happiness, prosperity and even survival.

Prioritise teachers, school and childcare staff for Covid-19 vaccination
Advice from the JCVI on the priority groups for a Covid-19 vaccine does not include school/childcare workers. This petition calls for these workers, who cannot distance or use PPE, to be kept safe at work by being put on the vaccine priority list when such a list is adopted into government policy.
