Paddington in Peru - Key Art shoot

It’s always an absolute joy when Jaap asks me to work with him and this series of Key Art shoots for Paddington in Peru was no exception!

My brief this time was to create an open outdoor sunny lighting setup, a more moody sidelit setup and to also recreate a passport photo booth type set.

To realise this we created a studio on location in a barn on a farm, then recreated our 3 sets at a later date in a humungous, otherwise empty studio at Sky Studios Elstree.

This job really shows just how important it is to create clear and accurate lighting diagrams on set as the images from our second shoot had to perfectly match the first shoot.

Strangely though, on both shoots Paddington Bear was too busy to be photographed, apparently there was mention of not enough Marmalade on our set!
