Brooding feels like taking control.
But when thinking replaces action, you start to feel powerless instead.
Replaying situations over and over keeps your attention on what’s wrong — and rumination is strongly linked with depression and low mood.
The way out isn’t solving everything in your head.
It’s stepping back into action, even in small ways, and letting thoughts pass without chasing them.

Spirituality isn't always healing.
Sometimes, it only escalates the mental vulnerability that was already there.
No one warned me about that part.
About the part where it left me unable to leave my house because I was so anxious. About the toll it took on my body because I couldn't eat properly anymore.
How it made my Emetophobia worse, how I got depressed as I couldn't see my life getting better anytime soon. How lonely I was.
So I wrote my story as a warning, not to shame spirituality, but to protect people who need to get mental health support instead. 💙
