***ENGINEERING OF DEEPWATER SUBSEA PLEM & PLAT STRUCTURE (EDSPP) LEVEL 2 & LEVEL 3: SUBSEA PLEM / PLET INSTALLATION***

The installation of pipeline-end manifold (PLEM) as part of a deepwater flow line system must closely integrate design. The installation procedures are to ensure the equipment running smoothly, predictably, and safely.
Pipeline tensions are high in deep water and installation vessels costly. Therefore, design of the PLEM and the corresponding
installation procedure must be as simple as possible. The installation analysis for a pipeline system with a PLEM should check the following items as follows:

I. tensile of pipeline,
II. bending & shear stress and
III. hoop stress.

The mudmat minimum dimensions required to keep the structure supported at the mudline are a function of the ultimate vertical
capacity of the soil, considering the effect of the resultant load eccentricities (related to its length and width), as a reduction
of the mudmat area (effective area concept).

***SUBSEA ENGINEERING BEGINNERS MASTER CLASS (SEBMC) LEVEL 1 & LEVEL 2 : SUBSEA ACCUMULATOR MODULE ***

SAM as a local hydraulic fluid source stores hydraulic fluid such that adequate pressure is always available to the subsea system even when other valves are being operated. SAM is used to improve the hydraulic performance of the subsea control system in trees and manifolds. Basically, it will improve hydraulic valve actuation response time and system hydraulic recovery time, at minimum system
supply pressures.

Note
Standard SAM is 4 x 20 liters (5.3 gal.)
Low pressure SAM is 2 x 2.5 liters (0.7 gal.)
