The Company
Our client is a rapidly expanding Facilities Management company providing a range of Building Services Maintenance Solutions which incorporate Fire, Security, HVAC and M&E services they have a number of prestigious contracts in the retail, government and commercial blue chip sector and are currently recruiting for an Energy Manager to be based in or around the Leeds area.

The Role
The purpose and remit of the Energy Manager role:-
* Ensure the effective management of energy resources to meet our clients objectives and targets
* Identify, develop and implement new energy related opportunities
* Carry out all energy related tasks to ensure service provision and compliance
* Motivate and train people within the company and client organisations in energy management
* Promote energy efficiency and provide advice and support for the development of energy efficient practices
* Develop and implement with client, the overall strategy for energy requirements, to meet the strategic intent of the organisation and represent the Energy Department in all areas of the business
* Plan, monitor and achieve consumption / emission targets
* Understand Utility supply trading arrangements
* Liaise with The Energy Bureau to ensure energy management reports are issued to the Clients specification

The Candidate
The Energy Manager skills and experience required for this role:-
* Minimum 5 years experience in energy management
* Qualified Low Carbon Consultant
* Qualified to undertake Air Conditioning Inspections
* Appropriate energy related qualification or equivalent in building services engineering.(to Degree level or higher)
* Extensive knowledge of the principle techniques and technologies which support the efficient use of energy
* Understand the principles behind HVAC, refrigeration and Lighting operation and system design / integration
* Extensive working knowledge of BMS and control theory
* Ability to carry out full energy surveys and feasibility studies of energy technologies (eg CHP)
* Knowledge of customer operations, business drivers, financials and specialist sources of information, legislative requirements where necessary

The Reward
In return, this Energy Manager will receive an excellent remuneration package including £40k - £45k salary plus a 10% bonus, car allowance, company pension scheme, 25 days holiday and additionally our client offers excellent career progression opportunities.
