18 epic silhouettes and sunset photos bursting with colour that you just have to have

Silhouettes are a beautifully creative way to capture a couple and to give them another range of Couples photos. I always look for a combination of putting a couple in a highlight/lit area and if we can frame around it all the better! The sunset version adds colour especially if it’s one of those evenings where it just bursts with oranges!

Timing is key, early mornings or late evenings provide the soft light needed, whilst a clean open environment helps create that perfect contrast. The right setting makes all the difference. Where I would love my couples to always be close together, it’s always best to be apart a little for space and to define.

I LOVE spending time on the dance floor!
Here’s 20 awesome Dancefloor moments

It would be very rare that I don’t do at least 12 hours of coverage at most weddings and especially for multicultural weddings.

You can shoot me down if you want but Indian couples and their guests do it the best!

Two things… There is no other wedding dancefloor that’s packaged for a full 3 hours!!! And Indian Djs are some of the best on the planet, not only for skill and technique but for musicality too. Some, seamlessly mixing pop and hip hop classics into Indian dancefloor classics and accompanied by Dhol players makes it impossible for that dancefloor not to be rammed all night until the lights come back on.

It’s perfect for someone like me who loves to capture moments, moves and chaos.

From a technical perspective staying 2-3 hours on average till 11/midnight gives me the ability/time to photograph using flashes in 3 different ways normally with a 24mm and a 85mm (photographers I know some may think it’s crazy using an 85mm but a lot of the results I get are crazy good picking out individual people from the crowd):

1. I have a four off camera flash setup to fully light the dance floor no matter where I squeeze into on the space

2. I use on camera flash on both 85 and 24mm camera bodies

3. 24mm dragging the shutter for some cool lighting effects

Patience is key, like all true natural wedding photography, and there will always be specific people who bring it to the dancefloor more than others.

Whether you’re a live DJ couple or live bad couple, if you love action packed, movement, colour and watching your friends and family really show their true colours / leaving it all on the dancefloor… I definitely give you fantastic results and it’s so worth the 12+ hours investment in me.

II do love colour, but… here’s 20 high contrast, perfect black & white photos.

If you know my work, you’ll know I adore colour. It’s vibrant, expressive, pops off the page, it’s full of life and how most of your wedding gallery will be told by me.

But black & white… It will always have a place in my heart. Because sometimes, removing the colour removes the distraction.It lets you feel the moment more deeply.

Creatively, it allows me to think differently. Stylistically, it gives you something timeless sitting beautifully amongst the colour, not overpowering it, not replacing it, but elevating the right moments.

Here’s the important part:

I don’t convert images to black & white randomly.
And I don’t deliver full galleries in black & white.
I choose it intentionally. Only when the light, emotion and composition call for it.

Not every image works without colour.
But when it does… It hits differently.

That’s the value of having a creative photographer. Knowing which moments deserve that treatment and keeping it minimal so it stays powerful.
