Today, in National Assembly, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Mian Hammad Azhar presented the relief oriented budget for the next fiscal year with a total of 7294.9 billion rupees. The budget documents show the 11.9% increment in defense budget. The defense budget for the year of 2020-21 would be Rs1289. However, India's 🇮🇳 defense budget is six times bigger than Pakistan's🇵🇰

The main reason of the increment in the defense budget is the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India. After Pulwama attack, the tensions between both countries have been increased and so the excessive defense spending.

Moreover , the budget of Rs1,289 billion does not include Rs369 billion allocated for pensions of retired military personnel and Rs324 billion for the armed forces' development program.
