In the field of fire safety design, it is common to encounter penetrations of structures or systems affecting compartmentation walls for which no certified solutions are available. In such cases, an effective strategy may consist in using a protective material with known thermophysical properties, accurately mapped within a 3D simulation software. This approach allows the entire configuration to be modeled and verified during the calculation phase, ensuring that the temperature on the unexposed side remains below the limits required to comply with the insulation criterion. It represents a solid technical solution, particularly useful for addressing complex situations where regulations do not provide specific guidance. Moreover, 3D mapping enables precise representation of irregular geometries and detailed analysis of temperature distribution, even within the penetrated sections.
