Strategy Gate is Hiring – Governance Consultant (Project-Based)

Strategy Gate, a specialized strategy, governance, and HR consulting firm, is looking for a high-caliber Governance Consultant to join a strategic consulting project with one of our key clients.

Role Summary

You will work as part of a consulting team to design, review, and enhance governance frameworks, policies, and structures that support transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Assess the current governance framework, policies, charters, and decision-making structures.

Develop and/or update governance manuals, board and committee charters, delegations of authority, and roles & responsibilities.

Support the design of governance operating models (boards, committees, management councils, escalation and reporting lines).

Align governance practices with international best practices and local regulations.

Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and governance documents for senior leadership and boards.

Facilitate workshops and meetings with key stakeholders to agree on governance structures and mechanisms.

Provide practical recommendations for implementing and monitoring governance frameworks.

Support integration between governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) where applicable.

Candidate Profile

5+ years of experience in governance, corporate governance, risk & compliance, or related consulting fields.

Proven experience in governance or GRC consulting projects (board governance, family business governance, IPO readiness, policies & procedures, etc.).

Strong understanding of governance frameworks, regulations, and best practices (e.g. corporate governance codes, GRC standards).

Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal); Arabic is an advantage.

Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.

Relevant professional certifications (e.g. GRCP/GRCA, governance, risk, compliance, legal, MBA) are a strong plus.

Assignment Details

Type: Project-based consulting assignment

Duration: To be agreed based on project scope

Location: Onsite / hybrid / remote depending on project needs
