How are you doing today?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yesterday was Blue Monday, so if you or anyone you know is feeling down, then be kind, more than ever we all need to support eachother in these strange times.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you noticed lockdown has made a difference to your way of eating? Have you developed a habit about how much and when you eat that feels life-controlling? Your feelings and symptoms maybe very different to what you've read or seen about other people's eating disorders. There are so many variants, but importantly if you feel that your current circumstances or difficult feelings/situations have caused a change in how you feel about food and eating has become your coping mechanism, then it's time to talk to someone.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have difficulty accessing support from family and friends, or perhaps they are the cause of your problems then talk to someone outside of your circle. If you have a serious disorder this can be exacerbated by the lonliness that lockdown brings, the isolation, not being able to go to the gym and stockpiling food.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Learning a few new tools like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and self hypnosis can help re-direct those negative thoughts at a time when you really need it, to help re-route old behavioural paterns. If this is you then get in touch.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Alternatively you can also contact BEAT (formerly Eating Dosorders Association), a registered charity across the UK.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
