As a Londoner myself. We don’t get enough sunlight. Many of us lack vitamin D. And that glorious sun today is giving us an abundance of it!

The sun provides vitamin D for our body, improves our immune function in the skin, supporting bone health, preventing diseases as well as lowering blood pressure.

When you don’t get enough sun exposure, the serotonin levels in your body drop. Meaning that many of us are at higher risk of depression. Sunlight is essential for our well-being by promoting good mental health.

Live it up in the sunshine!
But don’t leave your sunscreen behind!

Not only are you protecting your skin from harsh UV rays. SPF is anti-aging and prevents discolouration and uneven skin tone.

There are 2 different types of Sunscreens, Chemical and Physical.

What’s the difference?

Chemical:
Contains chemicals such as avobenzone, octinoxate and octisalate. Absorbs into the skin and converts UV into heat
Less dense than Physical sunscreen.

Physical:
Contains natural compounds or ingredients such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Sits on top of the skin and reflects UVA and UVB

Remember to reapply your SPF through out the day!
