IT’S CONCERT D4Y B4BYYYYY!

Can’t afford a selfie of our own, so here’s Avalon doing theirs.

We had a splendid time at the 2025 European Barbershop Convention. We had all the giggles and fun on stage as we sang our four silly songs. Massive shoutout to Sam Hubbard Vocal Arrangements for arranging us The Hokey Cokey (aka the best contest song OF ALL TIME), what a clever sausage he is.

We love this funny old hobby of ours, and we extra love every person who came up to us and said that they enjoyed our sets. Our goal is to bring fun and joy to the contest stage and we hope we achieved that this weekend 💪

Special shoutout to all the medal winners, especially our buddies in Hot Ticket Quartet for smashing their way to bronze medals. Rumour has it that they actually sing in rehearsals, rather than just eating hot cross buns… Maybe we should try that 🤔 Another shoutout to our very own Alex’s proper grownup quartet Trailblazers for smashing that A level barrier. Alex wasn’t the only busy bee, both Sophies sang up a storm with London City Singers, and Alex and Laurence knocked out of the park with Meantime Chorus, winning silver medals and getting the highest British barbershop score of all time 😱 And one final shoutout to all the amazing UK representation, what a fabulous time to be a British barbershopper!

As a very serious quartet, we had some particularly serious business to attend to this weekend - The Great Hot Cross Bun Showdown (but the 'a' is a 4).

Of course we used the traditional BHS (Bun Hierarchy Score) categories: Taste, Essence, and Va Va Voom, and percentages were given. As you can see, the overall victor was chocolate, despite Alex's outrageously controversial scoring.
