What should be the composition of cosmetics for oily skin
Proper care for oily skin should solve two main tasks: regulating the activity of the sebaceous glands and reducing inflammation.
If your skin is prone to increased fat content, you should pay special attention to the choice of cosmetics that you use daily. Just one component can provoke an increased secretion of sebum (sebum) and, as a result, contribute to the clogging of pores, the appearance of acne and comedones.
In this article I will tell you what should be in the composition of cosmetics for oily skin, and which components, on the contrary, should be avoided.
Useful ingredients for oily skin
AHA-acids
Malic, citric, lactic, glycolic acids. They act on the surface of the skin: soften the stratum corneum, gently dissolve and remove dead cells, whiten stagnant spots and post-acne, make the skin soft, tender and fresh.
Salicylic acid
It pe*****tes deeply into the pores, cleansing them of dirt and sebum, fights germs and prevents the appearance of acne.
Clay
White, yellow, green and blue clay works as an absorbent, pulling out all impurities from the skin, provides a detox effect, mattifies and saturates the skin with useful trace elements.
Zinc
It has an astringent effect, narrows the ducts of the sebaceous glands and protects against ultraviolet light.
Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe vera gel
Intensively moisturize and help to retain moisture in the skin.
Essential oils and extracts of citrus and coniferous plants
Normalize the work of the sebaceous glands, neutralize inflammatory processes in the cells, get rid of acne and acne.

Undesirable ingredients for oily skin
Vegetable oils
We are talking only about those oils that have a high degree of comedogenicity (the ability to clog pores). These include those that contain saturated fatty acids: soy, coconut, wheat germ oil and cocoa.
Oils that are safe for oily skin also exist — these are argan, shea, mango, rosehip, black cumin, h**p, sesame oils.
Mineral oils and waxes
Lanolin, vaseline, paraffin — these components are not very useful in themselves, and even more so for oily skin. They do not pe*****te into the deep layers of the skin, but form a film on its surface that interferes with free cellular respiration, sebum outflow and normal exfoliation of dead cells. As a result, the pores become clogged and new inflammations occur.
Alcohols
Wiping the skin with alcohol—containing tonics and lotions in order to dry it is a mistake. Alcohol not only violates the hydrolipidic mantle of the skin, which provides its natural protection, but also provokes increased sebum secretion.
Sulfates (SLS and SLES)
They pull moisture out of the skin and clog the pores.
Synthetic dyes and flavors
They can cause redness and irritation, acne and even allergies.
