I grew up watching my parents eat a lot of sugary food even after they were diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
They would say we would just increase the insulin to bring dow the sugar level 🧐
More injections! Higher doses! Treating the symptoms instead of fixing the root.
… and as a child, I used to wonder:
Why didn’t they just… stop?
Why didn’t they learn the discipline?Why didn’t they eat right so their bodies could actually HEAL?
Because here’s what I believe:
Your body CAN heal itself.
No matter what the disease is whether diabetes, high blood pressure, burnout your body has the ability to heal.
But not if you keep feeding it the same poison and expecting medicine to fix it.
Watching my parents taught me something painful:
You can’t out-medicate a bad lifestyle.
You can’t inject your way out of poor choices.You can’t take a pill and ignore the pattern.
And that realization?
It changed everything for me.
Because I decided: I will NOT repeat their story.
