This week's covers a load of stuff!

We established our quite some time back but have never really shared them outside of our business (not really sure why) - well this week we have! They underpin how we think & conduct ourselves as well as how we operate and deliver our services as a business - and we are pretty proud of them.

This week also saw 2 of the Directors attend one of the launch events of the new RTC series of terrestrial laser scanners, which builds on the , & of the RTC360 - excited to get to try out this new kit soon. 👏

We also attended Build North Expo 2026 at Exhibition Centre in Liverpool where we bumped into our friends at Infinite Access who we've with on a few recent projects. It was only a short walk from our office and on the way back the amount of historical artifacts dotted about, reminded us of how much survey work we have done in and around Liverpool Port & Docks over the years.

This week also saw the amazing Cunard's Queen Anne cruise ship visit Liverpool for the 4th time - quite a feat of engineering.

The World Cup has well and truly kicked off bringing the FSL team together for the sweepstake draw (which did raise some eyebrows!)

The latest from the Monkey Fist crew down under is that the start date for their world record row has been delayed slightly as they await their food to arrive from the UK. They were let down badly by a supplier and have incurred quite a hefty, unexpected bill to get their food over to Oz. On a positive note, they have had some amazing help from who are helping to get the boat 800 miles north to the start point. You can read all about it via their socials & newsletter and if there is anyone out there willing to help them out with their cause, please do get in touch with them.

Finally, this weekend includes so "Happy Father's Day" to all the dads out there 😎

Have a great weekend, hopefully it's going to be ☀️.

PS. We have undertaken some surveying this week, but that's not as interesting as the stuff above 👆 😜

Another great effort from the team this week as we continue to see a steady uplift in projects getting off the ground.

As well as survey projects across the North of England (both above & below ground), some of our team attended an in-depth traversing & survey control computations course in Manchester to ensure we are at the top of our game - accurate, robust, survey control underpins all of our projects as you would expect.

This time of year sees us undertake annual surveys across a variety of sites in the North as part of a stock control and re-ordering system for our long-standing client. These jobs are great as they allow us to make use of our company , known as Alf!

For those that read last week's which focused on the Indian Ocean row, there are only 18 days to go before the team departs for Oz. A little disappointingly , they've had a couple of sponsors pull out this week, so need as much help as possible from any financial or product sponsors. Have a look at their social media posts or visit the website at www.monkeyfistadventures.com where you can find ways to sponsor, or purchase equipment, for their world record attempt.

Great end to a decent week with a couple of nice projects landing today...

Onwards & upwards - have a great weekend everyone 😎

A second round of congratulations to Jordan Maddocks this week. Not only have we been celebrating his 5 year work anniversary, but we are pleased to announce Jordan's promotion to Senior Surveyor. 👏

This promotion will see Jordan responsible for large projects and his team on site, as well overseeing the workflows and equipment we utilise out in the field.
