Week 8 & 9 – The finishing stages are now well underway on this kitchen extension build 🚧

Over the last few weeks, painting has been completed throughout the new open-plan space, while floor preparation and self levelling have been carried out ready for the LVT flooring.

The electricians have also been back on site completing the second fix, including spotlights, sockets and external lighting ahead of the kitchen installation.

Outside, work has started on the new patio and entrance areas to complete the external finish.

We’re still waiting on the final pocket door system before the remaining joinery and kitchen installation can be completed later this month.

Week 6 & 7 – The transformation is now really taking shape on this kitchen extension 🚧

This week the bifold doors have been installed, opening up the rear of the property and bringing the space together.

Externally, the extension and garage conversion have been fully rendered, completing the external finish.

Inside, plastering is now underway, with the space starting to feel complete.

The roof lantern has also been installed, bringing natural light into the new open-plan area.

The project is now nearing completion, with only final areas left to finish.

Next week second fix electrics begin, along with painting and the installation of radiators.

Week 5 – The build is now watertight on this kitchen extension 🚧

This week the flat roof has been formed and finished with a full GRP covering, leaving the extension watertight.

Inside, the space is now fully opened up and the new floor slab has been poured and levelled.

At the same time, new windows have been installed to the existing property, completing the external works.

First fix electrics and plumbing are now underway, including the new boiler installed in the extension.

The project is now really starting to come together.

Next week the bifolds are fitted, plastering begins and the extension will be rendered.

Week 4 – The structural work is now underway on this kitchen extension build 🚧

This week the main structural steel has been installed, opening up the rear of the property ready for the new open-plan layout.

The steel was brought through restricted access, with underpinning carried out to form a pad foundation to support the new goal post steel.

Once in place, the steel was levelled and welded to complete the new structure.

Externally, the blockwork is now fully complete, and the new fence line with Venetian fencing to the patio area has been installed.

Inside the garage, the conversion has been fully plastered.

Next week the roof goes on, the slab is prepared, and first fix electrics and plumbing begin.
