Celebrate South Asian Heritage Month with us!

To honour South Asian Heritage Month and its theme Unity in Diversity, we will be exploring the rich and eclectic mix of South Asian poetry in a free, online Shared Reading event. Delivered by our wonderful Reader Leader Suvi, we will celebrate a wonderful body of literature that can support reflections about belonging, grief, migration and identity.

Could you volunteer one hour a week to read with a looked-after child in-person in Sefton, Liverpool or the Wirral? Our Reading Heroes projects supports children in care to spark a lifelong love of stories and to increase their overall wellbeing. Volunteers read in pre-schools, nurseries, and homes for just one hour each week, sharing stories, rhymes and songs.

91% of carers said that taking part has boosted the child's overall confidence.
100% of carers said Reading Heroes had given their child something to look forward to.
