I'm so excited to share my short composition "Cloie, Gheiney Veggey!" ("Dance, Little Fellows!") which I wrote to accompany incredible stop motion animation commissioned by for their 2026 Year of Manx Language, celebrating the language and culture of the Isle of Man.

I wrote it to capture the whimsical traditional Manx folk story of an old man kept awake by fairies playing fiddles. The old man decides to dance for the fairies to entertain them, who then leave so that he can get to sleep. It was a fun challenge to draw from unfamiliar folk tunes and traditions to create something new whilst honouring the story and Manx musical heritage.

Nearly two weeks since this incredible concert with the Choir, celebrating Rossini's Petite Mass (featuring some incredible soloists!) and incredible premiere of 'If It Were For Peace'. It was a bit challenging at times but the performance really showed all the hard work that we put in during rehearsals!
