South Liverpool Foodbank is a vital community resource, providing emergency food, toiletries, and practical support to people in their hardest moments. Their work goes far beyond meeting immediate need, helping local people through crisis with compassion, dignity, and care.

With our donations, South Liverpool Foodbank were able to provide 6,816 local people with emergency support during 2025, including 2,204 children. Alongside this, everyone who turned to them had access to a dedicated Citizens Advice Adviser. They helped over 200 people gain, on average, an extra £1,750 in their pockets, making it less likely they would need to use the food bank again.

They were able to help a couple facing a very difficult time. After one partner suffered a fall that led to a life-changing injury, he was unable to work. The other partner also had to leave her job to take on caring responsibilities, which placed significant pressure on their finances. While they awaited social security payments, South Liverpool Foodbank was able to provide emergency food and toiletries to help them through this incredibly challenging period.

Last week, some of our team members spent a few hours away from our head office to volunteer at South Liverpool Foodbank. Our colleagues sorted through dry goods, ensuring everything was organised and ready to be distributed to local families in need of immediate support.
