BREAKING NEWS: The Waldie Loving Cup has escaped from Linlithgow Museum!
After spending the past year under close observation in Gallery 3, the cup appears to have made a daring bid for freedom and has been spotted in the company of the Linlithgow Deacons Court.
Museum staff would like to reassure everyone that this annual disappearance is entirely normal and forms part of the cup's historic role in the Linlithgow Marches.
We expect the fugitive to return voluntarily once the celebrations are over. 🤣

Step back in time with this fascinating view of Linlithgow’s West End.
This historic photograph captures the old Cross Keys Inn alongside the West End Café, located on the site later occupied by Cabrelli’s fish and chip shop.
In the foreground, you can spot the New Well, one of several public wells that once provided fresh water to the people of Linlithgow before modern plumbing transformed daily life.
Images like this offer a glimpse into how familiar streets and buildings have evolved over the years while still retaining their connection to the town’s rich history.
Do you remember Cabrelli’s, or have any stories about the West End? We’d love to hear your memories in the comments.
