Linlithgow Tennis

Our Men’s 4th team played their final match away to Dollar 2 this week. It was a crunch fixture as a win would guarantee Linlithgow promotion into the third Division, whilst Dollar were also in the running. On the night, Linlithgow were too strong and emerged from every rubber victorious. The final result was a 10-2 win for Linlithgow 4. A great result 🎉

The mens 1st team narrowly missed out on the title drawing with Falkirk in the final match when needing a win. Great effort 💪

After their incredible success last season, the 2s were relegated from Division 1. We knew it was a tall order for our second team to be able to stay up. They did themselves proud however, winning 30% of all the sets they played in the season.

Our 3rd team were also a victim of their own success last season, finding life too hot in Division 2, and getting relegated to Division 3.

All of this means we are actually in a great position for next season! One team in Division 1, one team in Division 2 and 2 teams in Division 3. The 4th team will get 10 matches next season and we will have a couple of cracking matches between the 3s and the 4s.

Our Box Leagues are an opportunity for members to compete and find players of a similar standard.

Members play competitive and fun tennis at events such as our annual President's Day.

Our Club Championships matches are played from mid June and culminate in the finals weekend at the end of August. Many different events can be entered, with or without a partner.

We enter several teams in the Tennis Central Scotland Leagues - mens, ladies, over 55s (mixed), under 16s, under 12s. Summer League matches are played from mid April to end June, and Autumn League matches (mixed) from September.
