Step into The People’s Market by Human Studio at Lincoln Festival of History on May 2nd–4th.

An augmented reality journey exploring everyday activism in Lincoln, past and present. Using your phone, discover virtual market stalls representing the voices, ideas and causes people have stood behind over time.

At the heart of the experience is the story of the Sugar Boycott. In the late 1700s and early 1800s, women across the UK, including in Lincoln, chose to stop buying sugar produced using enslaved labour. Small actions, taken collectively, helped spark conversation and drive change.
