📢 Updates from The Tribe

We’re planning another meeting in January, this time on a Saturday afternoon, to make it easier for more people to attend. Stay tuned for the exact date and time!

To stay updated, we’re setting up a WhatsApp and email list. Parents, carers, guardians, and volunteers: please message this page or email us at [email protected] with your phone number or email address so we can keep you in the loop.

Today’s meeting was very positive! We received great feedback and took detailed notes. If you’d like to share more thoughts, please email them to [email protected].

Thank you for your ongoing support as we work to make The Tribe even better!

🌟 Rebuilding The Tribe Youth Group 🌟

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel, and I’ve recently taken on the responsibility of leading The Tribe Youth Group.

While I was not directly involved with the group before aside from providing website support, social media activity, and photography, I’m stepping forward now because I believe in what The Tribe stands for.

This youth group has been a vital resource for young people in the area, and its closure has left a gap in our community.

The issues caused by Jean and Sara have been troubling, but their actions should not define or end The Tribe. This group was created for the children and young people, and they deserve to have it thrive once again.

Wendy has decided to step away from the group and has entrusted me with the opportunity to rebuild it into something better. However, I can’t do this alone, I need your help.

Here’s what I need to move forward:
• Volunteers: I’m one person, and I can’t do this by myself. We need people who can offer their time, skills, and support.

• Ideas: Help us shape The Tribe into a better, more inclusive, and welcoming group for everyone.

• Funding: We need to secure funds to ensure The Tribe is financially sustainable.

• A Venue: A low-cost or donated space for events and sessions is essential as we currently have no active funding. I will be speaking with Pendas to see if The Tribe can remain.

• Community Support: Let’s come together to show that The Tribe is about the children and young people, not the issues of the past.

• Meeting: I’d like to hold a meeting for young people, parents, carers and volunteers to express their concerns, feelings, ideas and where we can push The Tribe forward

About the Funds
Wendy, who previously served as the treasurer, has reassured me that the group’s finances were not misused.

We are currently determining what funds are still accessible to support this rebuilding effort.

I’m new to running a youth group, but I’ve never let inexperience stop me before. With your support, I’m confident we can turn things around and make The Tribe a success.

If you’re willing to help in any way, volunteering, offering ideas, or providing space, please contact me at [email protected].

Let’s work together to make this happen. (please disregard the previous email () and the old WhatsApp number)

Thank you,
Daniel

We had such a fun evening with a spooky walk around Temple Newsam Estate and on to Skelton Lake Services! The young people were absolutely amazing, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We wrapped things up with an exciting game of tag at the playground. What a wonderful time!
