Both boys have been with us for 7 months so far, and it’s so great to see the enthusiasm towards their karate training and the Blade Karate System develop with us.

We’re going to be honest with you…
Starting karate isn’t easy, and we know motivation fades.
But motivation is different to discipline…
Motivation is a feeling. Discipline is built.
And this is something that both teenagers and adults alike struggle with over and over again: waiting for the motivation before they take on a new challenge.
Our brains and bodies want us to stay comfortable.
But change doesn’t come from staying in your comfort zone.
Tang Soo Do (our Blade Karate System) teaches consistency and patience, and discipline follows.

Kata, is incredibly important, most than what most think, not only does it incorporate, speed, timing and precision, however the Kihon Bunkai basic application is far more sophisticated than what beginners think, which becomes evident over time, practice and repetition and understanding.

Thank you to the UK Martial Arts Show Bob Sykes Paul Barnett for offering me such a great opportunity to express my Karate on stage for the world to see, and happy that some have title me the 'Kata Man's, especially as I was a member of the England Squad back in 1993-1995. I am grateful and also appreciate that I shall once again be able to deliver more demonstrations on stage in 2027 alongside delivering a workshop to express and teach just a small fraction of the Blade Karate System.
