Prometheus Bound at stage@Leeds on 8th of June 2018 is an adaptation of Greek Tragedy in a movement-based performance with strong elements of dance-theatre.

The performance is an attempt to trigger the spectator's perception visually. There will be no text, no spoken words; just movement.. and the most exciting part is that the audience will play a crucial role into shaping visual contemporary art!

Being part of a practice-based research led by Dionysia Bouzioti, the project was awarded with the University Research Scholarship by the University of Leeds. We need an audience of more than 150 participants as we are trying to explore subjective experience in processes where movement evokes emotion and vice versa in order to (re)discover the definition of catharsis in a modern context.

For the purposes of this research the entrance will be free.

The audience will be asked to fill in a form of related questions after or during the performance and it is likely to be interviewed. The aims of this research are scientifically and philosophically driven. No personal data or private information will be used or exposed.
