Hello everyone We are fundraising for a new safe space for an archive. Please please can you support this project in any way you can. We are hoping in these very divisive and political times we can still somehow continue to follow the love and do something positive
There are so many inspirational stories to share and we want to document and celebrate them and young people want to hear them

Speedqueen was the first multi layered safe space to exist in Leeds consisting of club nights, fashion shows, workshops, charity work and the only inclusive non-gendered trans friendly boutique /drop in centre in the city to have ever existed

And when most clubs were going to Ibiza to party in 2002 Speedqueen was invited by SFOR the stabilisation force for Nato to work in war torn Bosnia contributing to peace building, tolerance and reconciliation programmes supported by the British Army 💖💙💖💙💖

It is a coming together to have a drink and a reunion with old Speedqueen regulars, family and friends.

The Faversham is a small capacity premium venue who have allowed us to use the venue as a one off and so if you are intending to come please can you RSVP us in the DMs so we have an idea of numbers and can put a guest list together
