Heat.Sweep.Repeat

So yet another one of mr Telford Rollins previous customers I’ve attended and this is what he’s signed off as safe to use in the first picture.
Completely filled the stove and Vit pipe with resin and soot.
The second picture of the cowl coated in tar and creasote was apparently chemically cleaned by mr Rollin and then signed off by one of his associates.if you have dealt with him in the past or anyone associated with him then get in touch I will check your appliance for free.

Although this house is under renovation,it’s still no excuse to not contain the soot for safe extraction.get in touch for your sweeps,I can take bookings now ready for when you shut your appliances down for spring and summer.

So here is the cowel of a customer who contacted me recently.the customer (an oap)
Complained about smoke coming back into the room,they told me they had a local reputable sweep come out who told them they’ve got tar or resin in their flue liner,which looking at this photo was correct.this “reputable sweep” advised them they needed a chemical clean,again correct.the sweeps relative came out charged the customer an additional £200 to chemically clean the chimney and then signed it off as fit for use.
This photo is how I found the cowel on my visit,anyone with half a brain can see this is not fit for use!!
Please be careful who you use to sweep/service your stoves,this is not the first time this “reputable “ sweep has left stoves in a state where I’ve had to condemn them.
I won’t lower myself to name them,but hopefully by word of mouth it will spread soon.
