Armed police on Gaythorne Road in West Bowling, Bradford.

Officers have been spotted in the area this evening. It’s believed to be linked to the attempted murder on Wednesday night when a 28-year-old man was shot in the head at the junction with Parsonage Road.

A white BMW was reportedly involved and later found burnt out nearby on Brompton Road. Police described it as a targeted attack and are continuing enquiries.

Gunshot victim left with life-threatening head injuries in Bradford shooting as police name suspect

Police are investigating a fi****ms discharge on Gaythorne Road at the junction with Parsonage Road in West Bowling.

It happened around 10:57pm on Wednesday 8 July. A 28-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition.

Officers from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team want to speak to 24-year-old Luqman Khan, an Asian male from Bradford. He is believed to have travelled to Suffolk and may be in the Ipswich or Felixstowe areas.

Two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender – one in Bradford and one in Ipswich. A vehicle was also recovered.
