🌊 Coastal Walk ⛅️

I hopped in the car this morning with absolutely no idea where to go. I started to drive, and ping! - lets go to the beach! The beach then somehow turned into an 11k coastal hike 🫣😆

Dory is 13 years old, only has 3 legs, and they aren't strong anymore. So, she goes into a special hiking rucksack for dogs (which she loves!) She hops out when we stop for a stretch and a wee, but quickly waddles back to the bag again 🥹

Riley is 9, strong, but incredibly lazy 🤣 However, he flipping loved today! The promise of a paddle in sea puddles and warm sausage rolls seemed to encourage him well 🙄🤭

The views were spectacular! Dory went on my front for the way there and then on my back for the return. We hiked from Widemouth Bay to Bude, stopped in Bude for drinks & snacks (around 30 mins or so) then back to Widemouth!

In total we achieved:
11.3 kilometres
500m elevation
Just over 3 hours walking
19,705 steps 😍 (mine, imagine Rileys!)

We are now home on the sofa with cake & tea for me, and special treats for the pups.
