Updates Version: Summer Holiday Classes – Keep Learning Going!

The summer holidays are a great time for children to relax, but it’s also important to keep some learning routines in place so they don’t forget what they’ve worked so hard to achieve throughout the year.

Our Summer Holiday Classes are designed to help children stay engaged, build confidence, and continue making progress in:

📚 Reading
✏️ Writing
🔢 Maths

✅ 2-hour sessions
✅ Small groups of just 6 children
✅ £35 per session

Many classes are already full or nearly full, and only a limited number of spaces remain.

If you’re interested in securing a place for your child, please send me a DM for more information and availability.

Every child deserves a place where they feel safe, understood, and free to be themselves. At Little Classroom, we give children the time and space they need to learn and grow at their own pace, without pressure or feeling like they have to keep up with everyone else.

We know that learning isn’t just about reading, writing, and numbers. It’s about building confidence, making friends, feeling happy, and knowing that it’s okay to make mistakes along the way. In our small and caring environment, children can relax, enjoy learning, and discover what they are capable of.

Some children come to us feeling worried about learning or unsure of themselves. One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is seeing those children slowly begin to believe in themselves, share their ideas, and smile with pride when they achieve something they once thought they couldn’t do.

We celebrate every step forward, no matter how small, because every child’s journey is different. Our aim is to help children feel confident, valued, and happy, while supporting them to make progress in a way that works for them.

Watching friendships grow, confidence blossom, and children leave with a smile on their face is what Little Classroom is all about.

Making decisions about your child’s education can be really hard. Some children find school difficult and some families decide that home education is the right path for them. It’s a big decision and it can feel overwhelming at times.

Traditional school doesn’t suit every child and large classes aren’t always the best fit. It’s about finding what really works for your child and what feels right for your family. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow in confidence and enjoy learning in their own way.

There are so many different ways to home educate, and no one way is right for everyone.

I work with lots of home educated children who all learn in their own unique way. They come to my little classroom for support, guidance and a gentle structure, where they can learn through play in a calm, purpose built space alongside other children in small groups.

I truly believe my little classroom is something really special that supports each child’s individual learning journey.

A question I keep replying to this week in tutoring forums, and one I’ve just answered for the seventh time this week, is:

“Can I start tutoring and specialise in primary aged children, particularly ages 3 to 8?”

My answer is an absolute, YES!

In fact, from my experience, this is exactly what we need more of.

We need more play based learning centres that provide an alternative preschool option for parents, support for home educating families, and high quality after school tuition for younger children.

The early years are where children develop the foundations for future learning. When we nurture curiosity, confidence, communication, and a love of learning from an early age, children thrive. Early support and intervention can make a huge difference, and play based learning is a powerful way to achieve this.

So yes, yes, yes, you absolutely can build a tutoring business focused on younger children.

And that’s exactly why Little Classroom Franchise was created, to support more teachers in doing what they love, creating meaningful learning environments for young children, and building successful businesses with the training, resources, and ongoing support to make it happen.

There is a real need for more educators in this space, and I believe we are only just beginning to see its potential.

When you’ve always been a teacher, for some reason you’re always thinking one half term ahead, waiting for that chance to rest, decompress and prepare for the next one. And now it’s May half term, with only one more half term left until summer. Just seven weeks to go.

For people outside of teaching, it can look like a long break, but when you’re in it, the demands and the physical and mental pressure can be so hard.

Today I ran a holiday class and it was just gorgeous. I’ve completely reduced my hours this week to just four hours, which is far less than I would ever have worked in school. But I do it because I love it and because it provides consistency for the children I teach.

What I really love is the fact that I can support everyone and do it on my terms, while still spending the rest of the week having day trips with my children and our best friends from London, creating memories together. Because life is too short and everyone deserves to live it the way they choose.

I truly believe you can create your own destiny. Sometimes you have to be brave and dream big.

So to teachers out there take time out this week. Brace yourselves because the next half term is a hard one. Reports, end of year productions, sports days, end of term assessments, pupil progress meetings, annual reviews, teaching and learning, pastoral care, preparation for transition and getting classrooms ready for September.

But don’t forget to look after yourself in the middle of it all and enjoy your week off!
