🏃♂️ Sweating my backside off this morning.
Some people probably think I’ve lost the plot taking on a challenge where I’ll be running 1 mile every hour for 24 hours.
Truth is, some days I think the same 😂
But over the last few years I’ve realised that growth only happens when you do things that make you uncomfortable.
Whether that’s building a business, dealing with life’s ups and downs, becoming a dad again, or taking on a challenge that scares you a bit.
On 1st August I’m aiming to cover 30–40 miles in 24 hours while raising money for four amazing charities:
🩵 Cancer United
🩵 Teenage Cancer Trust
🩵 Leukaemia UK
🩵 Military Vs Cancer
The running is the easy part compared to what many families are going through every day.
At Benchmark Decorators we talk about “Setting The Standard”.
For me, that isn’t just about decorating. It’s about showing up, keeping your word and doing hard things when nobody is watching.
Still a lot of work to do before August, but we’re getting there one run at a time.
