Hello July 🌞🍦

A little quieter on here as we get a little busier at the cafe! But just popping on to let y'all know there's an extra hour of ice cream time as we move to our summer hours.

We are SO excited for a week of sunshine 🌞🌞🌞 Our absolute favourite cafe days are the ones where we can open all the windows and listen to y'all out there enjoying yourselves, stopping in every now and then for a coffee, toastie or ice-cream and telling us how flipping gorgeous Coverack is! We're open 9-4 today folks, don't forget your suncream! Xx

🤍 I think every other customer asks us where our gorgeous ceramics are from and we are always over the moon to send you in the direction of who handcrafts these beautiful items for us.

😔 Which brings me to a post I've desperately been trying not to post, but please can the small minority of people who think they can steal them have a really good think about their actions before doing so.

💲 This has been the worst season we've had for theft and so far, the cost to replace these mugs is equivalent to about seven hours worth of wages (which I would much rather spend the money on!)

☕ We are a small business and, as I'm sure everyone sees in the news, we are already up against it with rising costs and questionable weather (a biggy for a seasonal business).

⏰ Also, logistically, as we come into the busiest part of our season, having less of our mugs just means a bigger wait time as we now have a limited amount of mugs to use which could mean having to use more takeaway cups (which you know we always avoid where possible) or having to wait until one frees up so we can wash it up for the next order.

🫶🏻 We love to serve your coffees in these beautiful mugs and tumblers, and we know you love them too! Not only do we get to support a wonderful ceramicist, but we think it enhances your coffee experience here with us.

🙏🏻 If you happen to have recently taken one of our mugs, we would love to see it returned to us and no questions will be asked or judgements made.
