💙 What is Parent and Child Fostering?
Parent and Child Fostering is a specialist type of fostering that supports a parent and their baby to live together in a safe and nurturing home.
As a parent and child foster carer, you'll provide guidance, encouragement and practical support while helping a parent develop the skills and confidence needed to care for their child independently.
The goal is to assess and support the parent-child relationship, giving families the opportunity to stay together wherever it is safe and appropriate to do so.
Parent and child fostering can be challenging, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. By offering stability, guidance and a positive role model, you can help shape a brighter future for both parent and child.
