💚 Two dogs. Two words. One big thank you.

Canine Partners shared an update on its Financial Assistance Fund, which received support from our grant in 2024.

The fund is a vital lifeline for existing partners, helping with the ever-increasing costs of caring for an assistance dog. In 2025, it supported 23 partnerships.

Alongside the update, they shared this message:

"A huge thank you to the Pets Foundation for enabling us to offer this life-changing support."

For Bruce, finding the right home took time and support 💚

Our £3,000 grant is helping Rotherham Dog Rescue cover vital boarding fees — freeing up resources for other areas of care.

Bruce, a 4-year-old Chihuahua, spent 12 weeks in kennels before being rehomed. He wasn’t neutered when he arrived, so this was arranged once he had settled into his new home.

After settling in, it was discovered he needed more complex surgery than expected, which the rescue was able to arrange and cover to make sure he got the care he needed.

Things only pet dads do 🐾

From always having treats on hand to giving in to “just one more” — it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

A 7-year-old French Bulldog needed urgent veterinary care during labour 💔

After a traumatic birth where she sadly lost all three of her puppies, Lola needed a safe place to rest and recover. She was taken in by National Animal Welfare Trust Bedfordshire where her journey back to health began.

Thanks to our grant funding for an animal ambulance, Lola could be safely transported to and from the vets throughout her recovery.
