Today we visited Rochdale town hall - recently re-opened after a multi million pound renovation. Civic pride doesn’t come much more magnificent than this.

The shirt worn by Colin Firth in the most infamous scene of the BBC’s 1990’s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice sold at auction today for £25,000.
The scene was filmed at Lyme Park in Cheshire - a National Trust property I was working at until 12 months ago.
