RAINVILLE GARDENS MURAL, 2022.
A public commission for the residents of the Dorset Wharf community gardens, down by the river, looking towards Hammersmith Bridge.
The general brief was to literally broaden the horizon ; to create a perspective far reaching beyond the confines of the garden, allowing the residents and their families a place of solace and calm, to recharge and unwind. The mural extends just over 30 metres long, encapsulating real and imaginary elements of the surrounding environment, including the iconic Hammersmith Bridge, the residents apartments and the neighbouring shores of Putney and beyond. A shiny black Cormarant perches in the foreground, surveying his kingdom, anticipating his next forbidden fishing trip.
