June is National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month so we thought we'd remind you that these debilitating conditions affects around 1 in 7 people.

First the difference between the two. Whilst all migraines are headaches, headaches are not always migraines. Headaches cause pain in the neck, sinuses, face, and head. Migraines, however, cause debilitating pain, visual disturbances, or both. They can last for hours or days and are often chronic. Without relief, migraines can cause other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness and can also lead to depression.

Sadly, many people still refer to bad headaches as migraines but the prevention and treatment of the two, whilst similar in some respects, can be vastly different.

Font, colour, and positioning are all important when putting up signs. Getting it wrong can lead to confusion as this demonstrates.
